UNCONSCIOUS FOR AN HOUR. SINGULAR BUSH ACCIDENT. Sydney, Dec. 2. Mr. H. P. Adams, of the Adletlian lm Mines, met with a severe accident, \\ liich was brought, about in a peculiar way. He was chopping down trees, and felled one (against which another was leaning) across a stump about 0 feet from the ground. Mr. Adams was standing on this tree, when the other fell on him, striking him on the back, and pinning the leg of his trousers between the two trees. The blow rendered Mr. Adams unconscious for about an hour; and when he recovered his senses he found himself suspended, head downward, being only able to touch the ground with his hands. He tried hard to pull away, but the trousers held him firmly. Eventually he managed to reach his axe, but as his was dislocated lie could not use

He then crawled to where lie had left his bike and billycan, and revived himself with a drink of water. Despite the fact that Mr. Adams had his left leg broken, several ribs fractured, and his back and arm badly bruised, he contrived, by leaning, on his bicycle, to reach the'roadway, where he was picked up by a man in a passing vehicle, and taken to the Ardlethan Hospital for medical attention.
