ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY'S. "THE DEVIL'S PaSSKKY"' TONIGHT. At Everybody's to-night and tomorrow there iis screening the remarkable film masterpiece which the newwizard of production, Eric von .Stroheim, has just produced for the UniversalJewel Company, entitled "The Devil',, Passkey." It is a story of wicked, wonderful Paris; of a wife's frailitv and another woman's treachery; of a rich young idler, and a husband absorbed in his business as a playwright; a wife who thought herself neglected, a husband who thought his wife quite happy in the company-of friends, and a young officer, handsome and rich, quite content to provide pleasure for the neglected wife. So was the stage set, and three people r-tood oil the verge of the pit—the' moment for decision had come'. If tiie husband believed the tale they told liim, the world, too, would think it had erred and would take tliem all back—husband, wife and supposed lover. If he did not believe them then two. at least, were doomed, and he knew that would mean his own end, too. But could he believe them guiltless, after what he knew? When you see this picture you will have a new idea on intensity in human emotions. • ''The Devil's Passkey" differs from ninetynine out of a hundred photoplays in that it was made by a man who' knows the elemental motives of men and women, and compliments your intelligence by assuming that you. also, know them. The season of "The Devil's Passkey" is positively limited to to-night and tomorrow and intending patrons who wish to be sure of seals can reserve at Collier's during the day. Prices for admission are: D.C. 2s fid, Stalls 2s and Is Cd, Reserves 2s fid. THE PTDPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OP VIVIAN RICH AND MADLAINE TRAVERSE. Miss Rich has the role of a society woman neglected by her husbaml, who becomes entangled in the web of suspicion whpn she meets a polo champion. The character of the wife has fine emotional force. The bill includes latest gazettes

and the fine dramatic feature, "What Would You Do?" starring beautiful Madlaine Traverse. To-morrow's new double bill presents ■ Alice Lake in Metro's big six-reel play, ''Shore Acres," and June Elvidge in her latest feature play, "His Father's Wife.'" "THE FASHION PLATES." . Another large audience was attracted to the Umpire Theatre last night to witness and enjoy the admirable revue of breezy, musical novelties, presented by "The Fashion Plates." All the artists were in excellent form, and the programme was presented with rare (lash an\l abandon. Mr. George Titchoner and Air. A. 'B. Keany, in the principal comedy rote, were much in evidence, whildj Miss Leriore Graham, the comedienne, in association with the artists mentioned, was again very prominent. Mr. Kenn Millar's bass \mgs, and the excellent items by Miss Rosa Walton in her songs at the piano, and Mr. Kingsley's contributions found much favor with the audience. Misses Miriam Kutner and Wvn Faulkner again pleased with their tuneful singing, while the many excellent ensembles and comedy concoctions were responsible for great hilarity.
