RETURNED SOLDIERS CONFER. By Telesraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 24. A conference of representatives of ex-soldier organisations from all parts of the Empire is to be held at Capetown on February 23 next. Lord Haig will preside. The countries represented will be Great Britain, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and delegates will attend from 14 separate organisations. The conference will discuss many matters of interest to returned soldiers. The New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association has nominated as delegates to the gathering Messrs. C. W. Batten (Wellington), and W. A. Leadley (Christchurch).
