FURTHER REDUCTION WANTED. By Te]egra|)!i.--rr"ss Association. Wellington, Last Night. Representatives of 'the National Dairy Association (which is the North Island organisation) and the South Island Dairy Association to-day considered the offer recently made 'through the High j Commissioner of a reduction in the freight on cheese. Tiie tonnage committee of the shipowners' conference asked whether the rate of 15-lCd, phis 10 per cent, would he satisfactory. The Dairy Associations decided that the offer was not satisfactory, and that a greater reduction should be asked for. They brought the matter before the Prime Minister this afternoon, and Mr Massey promised to communicate wiih the High Commissioner again.
