ARBITRATION COURT.

HOTEL EMPLOYEES AWARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 21. The Arbitration Court awarded a 48hour week for the Wellington district hotel, club and restaurant employees to-day. A sixday week was granted, one full day's holiday per week and one week's holiday v per year on full pay after twelve months' service, and a proportionate allowance for a shorter service, pay to mean wages plus an allowance for board and lodging. The minimum wages are: Chef £5, second £3 10s, third £2 7s fid, all others £2, where five are employed or more. Where four are employed: Chef £4 10s, second £3, third £2 os. all others £2. Three employed: Chef £3 17s 6d, second £2 10s, all others £2. Two: Chef £3, second £'2 2s fid. The minimum rates are increased by a bonus of 10s per week for male and as for female workers.
