CONSTANTINE IN ATHENS.

London, Dec. 20. Athens is overjoyed at the King's return. Aeroplanes; dropped showers of cards welcoming him. The crowd, during service at the cathedral, pressed upon Queen Sophie so closely that she fainted, and the King and her sons with difficulty forced a passage to carry her outside.
King Constantine, in a message to the Greek people, says: "I will show my devotion by the strict observance of constitutional Parliamentary government. I shall devote all my efforts to strengthening the very good relations with the Great Powers, and consolidating bonds with our gallant ally Serbia." He announced the betrothal of the Crown Prince to the Princess Elizabeth of Roumania, daughter of Helena and Prince Carl, of Roumania.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
