A movement Is afoot In Hawera to start a new bowling club with rlnks at King Edward I'erk, in the western part of tho town. Some astonishing excuses are sometimes made by bowlers in explaining away a bad s.-iut to their skip, but the limit was reacted in a match on the Palmerston green on Saturday when a player called out that he w.-i-i sorry a bumble-bee had stuck to his bowl.
