TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The usual meeting of the Land Board was held on Wednesday and Thursday, 15th and 16th instants. Present: Messrs G. H. Bullard (chairman), J. Heslop, C. J. Ryan, W. R. Cleland, and J. W. H. Martin. The following applications for land were approved: Section 11, Block IX, Ohura Town, Ohura County Council; Section 134, Block VIII, Cape S.D., George Soffe. The following applications to purchase the fee simple .were approved: Section 10 Block V, Egmont, H.J Blanchett; Section !), Block V, Egmont, L. M. S. Monteath; Section 8, Block V, Sgmont, H. J. Blanchett and R. W. Davies. The following applications-to transfer were deferred for valuation and inspection: Section 9, Block V, Kitpara, Meade and Forsyth to G. Meade; Section 8, Block V, Kapara, Meade and Forsyth to D. D. Forsyth; Sub-divisions 17 and 21, Ngatikakumate Block, B. F. Bowman to C. F. Griffiths. The following applications to transfer were-approved: Part section 4, Urenui Town Belt, J. H. Rogers to C. R. Stead; Section 541, Town of New Plymouth, E. Snowball 'to S. K. Pipe; Part Section 564, Town of New Plymouth. N. E. Smith to H. G. Wooldridge. The transfer was recommended for the Minister's approval of Part Section 5, Block VII, Mapara, J. A. Menzies to D. F. L. and J. N. Mel. Glasgow. The report of the arbitrators on the renewal lease of Section 24, Block XV, Ngaire, was received.—Resolved to withdraw Section 4, Block XII, Upper Waitara, from the Land Guide, and offer at a reduced valuation of 15/- per acre. It was resolved to resume possession I of Section 2, Block 111, Rangi, and find i another suitable tenant. I The valuer's reports on the renewal] of leases of Section 40, Block VI, Ngaire I S.D., and Sub 13, Ngatitcra, Block" IV, Opunakc S.D., were received. Mr. F. ,P. Corkili was appointed to value Section 198, Town of New Ply-' Tnoiith, the lease of which is expiring. A lease of Section 119, Block Xlll Cape S.D., was granted to R. S. Rookes! The application for the subdivision of E.R. leases of Sections 325, 301, 32(i, 327 Town of New Plymouth, was approved.'
