BURNSIDE STOCK MARKET. Dtincdin, Dec. 15. Every department was well supplied with fut stock ai Burnslde to-day. Plus were sent forward in particularly large numbers, and the supply proved more than atifflcient for requirements. The quality on the whole was excellent, and butchers were eager to secure supplies for tie Christmas trade. Prices for, limbs showed a reduction of about 2s, compared with Inst week's extreme rates, while sheep, on the other hand, showed an advance of from Is. to 2s. a. head.

Sheep.—A good yarding, numbering 2018 head. The offering comprised mostly Bhorn slieep, and it was one of the best yardlngs aB far as quality was concerned this season. Competition for good quality steep showed an improvement on last week's sale, while prices for prime sheep showed an advance. Inferior sheep were sold at a slight reduction. Extra prime heavy-weight shorn wethers realised up to 645., and prime ewes from 38s. to 40s.

Lambs.—The largest yarding this season, numbering 380 head of good quality. Competition was keen and u satisfactory sale rmilted. Best lambs sold at up to 38s, Pd. Fat Cattle.—A large yarding, a total of 204 he.ad being offered- for sale. Many of the pens contained animals of excellent quality, suitable for the Christmas trade. Tte sale opened at prices about equal to last week's rates, but had advanced fully £1 per head before the close of the sale. Prime bullocks sold at from £25 to £29; good bullocks, £lB to £21); lighter sorts, from £ls; prime heifers, £l4 to £IG; medium, £9 to £l2. Store Cattle.—A large yarding of mediumsized cattle was offered. Competition was fair and prices were inclined to be easier. A few pens of 2-year-old cattle were passed in unsold.

Pigs.—A large yarding and competition was very slack in consequence. Prices were about on a par witl: last week's rates. Best baconcrs realised from lOd to lid per lb, and best porkers from lOd to lid per lb.
