Which is the heavier—the full or the new moon?— The new moon, because the full moon is a great deal lighter.
When we made our great offer to the public on November 10th last we did not dream that the demand for a medium priced made-to-measure suit was so great as it proved to be. We were simply besieged with customers, who expressed surprise at the quality of materials they were able to choose from. The good news soon spreads, and although we had laid our plans to cope with a very large number of orders, the volume of these soon exceeded our expectations, and three weeks after we had made our offer we were very reluctantly compelled to cease taking any more orders for Xinas, as we simply could not handle them. This was a great disappointment to us, as well as to a large number of patrons. We hope to rectify this in the future, and give still better value and a better service. Both our clients and ourselves are so satisfied with the value of the suits that we can confidently look forward to their repeat orders and the addition of their friends to our clientelle. Indeed, this has been our experience many times during the last few weeks. It is one of the greatest pleasures in business to meet satisfied customers, and we are doing our best to be happy. We are giving this suit business a whole lot of study, and believe that, with your assistance, we can give the people of Taranaki the best suit service in New Zealand. We aim first of all at keeping up the quality, to make a suit that will both fit well and wear well, and then we want to sell it to you at a reasonable price. We have had a lot of unexpected difficulties to overcome in launching our scheme, but we have faith in it, and we are going strong. This superior suit we are selling at a price that is being asked for suits of much inferior material and indifferent work.
