This storv of modem society has many tense situations with the thrills and romance that go to make a fine picture. Soul-shrivelling fear of the inheritance of her forbears takes hold of the girl and drives her away from the altar and the man she loyes. She faces scandal, and eventually, in a smashing climax, finds her way into the arms of the man who founts. Pauline Frederick is little short of wonderful in the leading role of Helen Winthrop. Vivian Martin stars in "A Modern Thelma," a t'ox feature on the same bill, which shows to-night and to-morrow at Everybody's.
