On Thursiiny last the ladles of tlie Guild held a garden party In tie grounds of the Methodist parsonage. The day, though cloudy, was flue and warm, and the grounds were looking at their best. The ladles worked hard for some timo before, and deserve great walse for tho way in which they carrW ■things through. quite a novel Invention was tie stalls on wheelbarrows. These were daintily docked .with fancywork, plain awing, cooking, produce and sweets. Father Christmas was much sought after by thf» children, and was Quickly bared of his toys. During the afternoon a nail driving co»4 petition amongst the ladles was held, Mr* Hrlggs being declared the winner. On Friday night the Eltham Army ban gave a very enjoyable concert. Jha tail was packed to the doors, and the boys were given n. good reception. Their drills would be hard to heat, and their singing was very good. All present thoroughly enjoyed ev«y item and will look forward to their next ip. pea ranee. r

The local dairy factory decided at Ihelr hist meeting to go in for butter making-, to the hands lost no time In getting to work, f.nd In less than a fortnight butter-maktM was in full swing.

The Rowan branch has also-changed I believe Biverlea is still to continue'with cheese.

On Thursday the prlae-gtring takes place in the school grounds. The children are preparing a musical programme, and will taea entertain their parents and friends at afternoon tea on the lawn. Although the school Ins recently heen closed the youngsters are anixously counting tho days till the holidays start. We all hope to see them return fte« iron, sickness and put in a good year's wort during 1921. .
