The totaliaator handled £12,497 10s, as against £13,811 last year. Results:— NOVICE HANDICAP.-Infante 1, lelthfield 2, Miss Melva 3. Also started: Hypothesis, Chintz, Kuranul, •Harrington, 'Matter Rohan, Lucy Flinch, Pauljcian. Miss'Rangl, Pair Mount. .; Prom a fair start Infante took a strong lead and was never overtaken. A protest was lodged by the owner- of Canowindra against Elsie Aroha appearing in the book as trained by the owner, whereas it was trained during the last month by T. Morris, another trainer. The Judicial Committeo imposed a fine of £2O on Carroll, for a breach of the rules, meanwhile paid out the dividends, but withheld the stake. TAUMARUNUI CUP, - Independence 1 Lovellght 2.
