STUD SHEEP FOR SOUTH AMERICA. By Telesrapli.—rreas Association. Christchurch, Dec. 15. What is said to be tlio most valuable consignment of stud sheep exported from the Dominion to South America Is being sent from Lyttelton to-day. The consignment ronsists of nearly 000 sheep, including Corriodales and Romney Shush, purchased at high prices on behalf of farmers in Chili, Argentine and Falkland Islands.

BHIDGINCI THE WAIROA. Dargaville, Last .Night. The associated local bodies conferonce, presided over by Mayor Hornblow, of Dargaville, unanimously decided to accept Mr. (I. M .Eraser's tender ctf .t.'J7,r>3;t for the erection of a traffic bridge across the Wairoa river at Dargaville. This does not include the approaches, machinery, etc. When completed, it will be the largest undertaking of the sort in the North Island. The work will be started forthwith.
