HEALTH BILL REJECTED.

HOUSING SUBSIDIES AFFECTED.

By Telegraph.—Press Asm—Copyright, Received Dec. 1.1, 10.40 p.m.

London, Dec. 14.

The House of Lords rejected, by 57 to 41, the second reading of the Ministry of Health Bill, containing miscellaneous provisions. They protested that they had been given insufficient time to consider its complexities. The rejection of the Health Bill has caused some sensation in political eircles. It inconveniences the Government by making it impossible for them to pay the increased subsidies on new houses after the end of the year.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
