MINISTER CENSURED.

Auckland, Last Night.
The Rev. A. A. Murray attended the Presbytery to-night in obedience to a summons to receive censure. In pronouncing the censure, the Moderator said Mr. Murray was now suspended sine die from exercise of the functions of the ministry of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, the reason being that in belief and practice he had departed from the vital doctrine of the Church. Rev. Murray then left the room without making any reply.
THE PAPAROA MINE. Wellington. Last Night. Following a. conference between the mine-owners and the miners, the Papnroa mine is to be re-opened, It was declared "black" by the minors early this year in consequence of a dispute, and has been idle ever since.
SOUTHLAND SHOW. ■ Invercargill, Last Night. ■ The forty-fifth annual show of the Southland A. and P. Association opened to-day in fine weather. General entries show an encouraging increase on those of the previous year, and in respect to the quality of exhibits, all round the show is the best ever held by the Association. Cattle classes are especially striking.
CEMENT SHORTAGE,
Hokitika, Last. Night.
Mr. Murdoch, Westland County chairman, received the following reply fromthe Minister of Public Works: Your telegram of I.7th received re cement shortage. Pleased to inform you that three hundred tons of cement was shipped at Whangarei for Otira yesterday. Other provision is also being made for further supplies.
