The bomb which \v:is thrown in the Senate also seriously wounded the Minister of Justice, who is not expected to live. The President of the Senate was slightly wounded, one bishop killed and two others wounded. Three othev persons were mortally wounded. The outrage was ihe work of an. isolated anarchist.

Marconi's company conducted an interesting wireless'telephonic experiment between London and Geneva. Notwithstanding interference by high-power station?, messages from 1 ord Birrnham and Professor Graham Bell to international journalists were easily heard.
VALUE OF RHODES SCHOLARSHIPS.

The Rhodes Trust annual report states that, owing to the increased cost of living, a scholarship worth i'llOO is no longer sufficient to maintain the holder, who must be prepared to contribute £SO annually.
