WORKERS REFUSED AS DIRECTORS

The railway companies have rejected the Transport Ministry's proposal to accept workers elected by workers as directory as being unjustifiable, intolerable and wrong in principle, because the workers would not accept financial' responsibility to safeguard the interests and rights of the shareholders.—Aus. and N.Z.
