In view of the reduction of the persoanel of the Australian Naijr and the consequent need of fewer oncers, also the necessity for retrenchment, the question of closing the Jervis Bay Naval College or the adoption of a scheme to include the training of naval aviators and mercantile marine officers is under consideration. '. On* suggestion is that the arrangements for training New Zealand cadets at the «oHege, which fell through owing to the war, be revived. The Herald says that New Zealand is VuUdlng up its own naval reserve, Mil possibly negotiations' will be entered on for the training of its officers »t U>» college.
