NATIONALIST PLATFORM, By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, Dec. 8, The Nationalist Party programme proclaims the following principles:— Economic independence, a right, however, which will not he exorcised with only the terufoiary majority in I'arlinincut now, l'or with a permanent majority after a special referendum, complete control of the natives within the Union, segrgation of natives and th* repatriation of imported coolies. Speaking at a function in Johannesburg in honor of the Chief Rabbi, General Smuts referred hopefully to the League of Nations, which he described as the first step towards the realisation of the vision of the prophet Isaiah three thousand years ago. Isaiah did not see Geneva, but perhaps Geneva was only the half-way house to the new Jerusalem.
