DENTAL CHARGES.

COURT LITIGATION. AX APPEAL CASE, Appeal was made in the ISupreme Court yesterday by B. H. Clianoy against tile decision of Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., in a ease in which appellant claimed from L. F. Haylock the sum of 50 guineas for special dental work done at the order of Mrs. Haylock. Mr. A. A. Bennett appeared for appellant, and Mr. R. H. Quilliam for respondent. The facts were that the work had heen of an unusual kind in the dental profession. Haylock paid into the lower court the sum of 28 guineas as a settlement, and the magistrate gave judgment for n total of 37 guineas. The appellant expressed dissatisfaction with the judgment, contending that he was entitled to the full amount claimed, and that there was no evidence to justify the reduction made by the Magistrate. For respondent Mr. Quilliam stated that Chaney originally gave an estimate of 14 to 16 guineas for the work. Later he told the respondent that the cost would he a little more. Counsel contended that the Magistrate was justified in taking the estimate given as as governing the total price to be charged. Decision was reserved by his Honor.
