CANADIAN WHEAT C POOL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Ottawa, Dec. 4. Winnipeg reports state that the Wm cm Canadian farmtrs are organising a gigantic grain pool in an effort to increase wheat prices. The organisation is said to be favored by all three provincial farmers' bodies and planned to become operative for the 1920 crops. The scheme provides that the eontract holders must sign for five ye.irs, binding themselves to sell wheat only through the pool, wl'lch will embrace eight million acres, 50 per cent, of the total wheat acre-age.—Aua.-N.Z. FARMERS' CO-OP. REPORT. At Okaiawa 011 Monday there was only a medium yarding,, which sold at late rates. Forward cows made £9 2s 6d to £9 15a; others, £G to £8 10s; dairy cows, from £ll to £lB 10s; empty Jersey cross twoyear heifers, to £9 15s. At Eltham on Wednesday there was a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. Although there was no rise in prices there was a mucl'i better demand for store cows, several graziers being in the market for light young sorts. Mixed fat woolly ewes and hoggets, to 335; wethers and ewes, to 33s 6d; "best cows, to £lO 15s; medium, £7 15s to £8 15s; light, £5 10s to £7; yearling Jersey bulls, good to 22 guineas; suckers, to 22s Gd; sow ivilh litter, £6.

At Hawera on Thursday both cattle and sheep pens were well ailed. There was a better enquiry for store cows, prices being slightly firmer than late rates. Yearling steers came forward In large numbers, but were not enquired for, and only odd lots were sold. Several pens of good forward three-year bullocks were yarded, and met with a dragging sale, but the vendors were prepared to sell, and practically the lot were sold at prices in the vendors' favour. In the sheep pens we sold several lots of two-tooth wetheis, but ew«B and lambs were dull of sale, the vendors not being inclined to accept the low prices offering. Quotations: Suckers, 12s 6d to 20s; light store pigs, £2 lis to £4 Is; small mixed six-tooths, to 20s sd; early shorn well-grown two-tooth wethers, to 26s 6d; fat ewes, to 28s 6d; tails for the works, £4 to £7; fat bulls, to £l6 sa; fat cows, £ll to £l2 10s; medium to good, £9 to £10; light, £6 to £8; three-yeaT bullocks, to £10; two-year yearling steers, to £3 los; yearling Jersey heifers, to £l2; best dairy heifers, £ll 10s; steers, £7 to £0; best dairy eows, up to £25;. others to £ll 10s.

At Waverley on Friday we lad a good yarding of cattle. There wes no demand for Bteßr3 and young stock, and as the yarding was mainly made up of these classes very little was Bold. Forward cows, £9 to £8 15s; others, £5 5s to £7 2s (id; light cows wiih calves, to £5 2s Gd; smalj mixed ytisrlinja, to £3 10s; yearling steers, to 21s; light stores, £2 5s to £8 10s; good hack, to £ls 10s. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. On Monday'at Opunake we had a small yarding and competition was not keen for any class of stock. We quote: Store cows, £3 2s 6d to £6 10s; yearling heifera, to £4 9s; steers, £2 19s to £3 12a Gd; yearling Shorthorn bull, £8 10s; springing heifers, £lO to £l3. At Manala on Tuesday we had a small; yarding. Prices at late rates. ! •On Friday at Palmer Road we had only a J fair yarding. The wi-ole of the store Battle! were sold under the hammer, at late rates. Dairy cattle were very hard to quit. We quote; Forward cows, £9 to £lO Is; fresh conditioned ditto, £7 7s to £8; others "at market value; Jersey empty heifers, £lO 12s Cd; others, £5 15s; bulls, to £8 ss; springing cows, £l3 2s Gd; fat woolly hoggets, 28s 6d.
