TARANAKI A. AND P. SOCIETY, GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the general committee of the - Tarannki A. and P. Society was held on Saturday, Mr. W. B. Grant (president) occupying the chair. The Taranaki Jockey Club was granted permission to use the annexe to the Coronation Hall iu connection with the forthcoming race meeting. The Education Board is to be written to, asking that school children be granted a holiday on Thursday, March 10, People's Day at the Autumn Show. Leaflet schedules of the fancy work section for the 1921- Winter Show are to be printed and circulated amongst likely exhibitors. Votes of thanks were accorded the following;— Mr. Edward Wells (donation of his debenture).; to Mr. John Poletti (offer of 40Ibs of grapes to the ladies' stalls a>t the autumn show); to Bishop Bros, (ploughing ground for green feed). It was decided to thank the members of the Stratford A. and P. Association, especially Mrs. Sangster, for the splendid arrangements in connection with the excursion of the Society's lady helpers to the Stratford Show; also to thank those who lent cars to convey the ladies to Stratford. It was resolved to interview the local statiomnaster with regard to special train arrangements for the Autumn SfcOW.
