THE WOOL MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 4. The Prime Minister has recieved a. cable from the Director-General of Haw Materials that the demand for crossbred wool nt the London November wool sales was very limited. Particulars for coarser Qualities reserves were based on approximately the following prices for A and B grade: Average combing greasy wools, 60 to 04 merino, 24d to 20d; 58 to 58 half-bred, 20% d to 20% d; 4 to 50 fine crossbreds, ITM.d to 20% d; 44 to 46 medium crossbreds, 15d to lB%i; 30 to 40 coarse crossbred, 13% d to 14% d. The Director-Gtneral adds that It is his intention to fix limits for greasy wool 44 to 46 and below, at the December sales at the net New Zealand appraisement prices without any addition for charges. These are approximately: 44-46, 15% d to 17d; 36-40, 14% d to 15% d. He estimates the following are i- ces at which wool would sell freely: 60-64 merino, 24d to 20d; 56-58 half-bred, IB%d to 25V«d; 48-50 fine crossbred, 15% d to 18?4d; 44-46 medium crossbred, 12% d to I4d; 36-40 coarse crossbred, 10% d to 11%<J.

Ltd. have received the following cablegram From their London house under date Ist inst.: Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, £2 18s 6d per cwt.; good beef, £2 I7s Cd per cut.; mixed, £2 6s per cwt. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Dee. 5, 5.5 p.m. London, Dec. 3. The Port of London Authority, together with tie uptown warehouse keepers, has arranged an aggregate storage in London for about a million bales of woo), which compares with about the average storage of about 350,000 bales before the war. It is hoped this will prove ample storage for the trade, but if required the Authority is also prepared to stcre wool in the open, properly dunnagod and protected with tarpaulins to the satisfaction of the underwriters and the surveyor. The extra premium against risk of rain damage will be half a crown per cent, per month', to be declared If the open storage Is used.
