English cheese Is offered at Is 3d per lb." FAILURE OF FUR BROKERS. London, Dec. 1. The collapse in the. values of furs caused the well-known brokers, A. and W. Nesbitt, Ltd. to call a imoetin gof treir creditors. It is understood their losses were largely due to American speculators, who purchased heavily at high prices, and refused to pay when values commenced to decline. THE SuTmpTFTrEIGHTS. London, Dec. 1. The freight market is very flat and rates ate steadily declining. A few odd fixtures made for Australian wheat on very low terms are reported. A steamer has been fixed for December loading at 100s, two sailers for January at 80s, steamers for April are obtainable at about llOs. THE TALLOW MARKET. London, Dee. 1. At the tallow sales 1047 casks were offered and 1300 sold. Low quality advanced a shilling, others declined Is to 2s per cwt. The stocks total 9041 casks.
