INCREASING IN CHRTSTCHURCIL By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurcli. Last Night. Jt, was slated at to-night's mooting of the Canterbury District Repatriation Board that unemployment was increasing in Christchurcli, and that, sumo employers were reducing their staffs. To deal with the matter it was suggested that another officer should he appointed to give assistance to the present repatriation officer. The hoard decided to consider the suggestion at a later date should unemployment become more acute. It was reported that since the last meeting 01 applications had been received for employment, and positions had been found for sl> men. There were now '2B cases of unemployment on the books.
