CHRISTMAS PROSPECTS.
BAD CONDITIONS IN AUSTRALIA. By T«lec»pb.—Pies» Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 20, 10.30 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 29. Union officials view with alarm th« prospects for Christmas, because of the large number of unemployed. An official of the Factory Employees' Union states he has not seen so much unemployment for over thirty years. Employers state it is due to a falling off in the export trade, too much production for local consumption, and the general tightening-up process of the money market.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
