Matters regarding pensions were di§cussed by the Dominion executive o( tins New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association. A strong protest was voiced against the inadequate amount of *60,000 granted by Parliament in the dying hours of last session.' On the motion of Mr. T. E. Y. Seddon, M.P., it was decided that a petition setting out grounds for increasing military pensions be drawn up, md that local associations be request** to hate the petition signed in every district, and evc,ry membit of Parliament be requested to puJent the petition from his electorate With a vinr to giving publicity i» the requests can-, tained in the petitfbn it was also re* solved that local ImocUtioM b» uktd to organise deputations to Ministers when visiting different centres between now and Ukr opening of Parliament. .
