A large party ambushed two motorcars carrying court-martial witnesses at Ballycawley, Tyrone. Both drivers and three constables were wounded, the constables seriously. A bomb exploded in Patrick Street. Cork at 9 o'clock on Tuesday evening. The crowds returning homeward from an entertainment rushed for safety. Two persons were killed and fifteen injured.
