A further remand until Monday next waft granted in the Magistrate's Court to-day in the caße of Frederick Spearpoint, who is charged with having murdered Jiis mother, Nora Blanche Spearpoint, on November 3. A WOOL SOLUTION. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the Farmers' Union 'the wool position was discussed at length, and the following resolution was carried: "That a letter be sent to the advisory committee asking it to discuss the wool situation, and decide whether anything can be done by the farmer pooling crossbred wools and by approaching the Government with regard to financial assistance." STRIKE AT THE BLUFF. Invercargill, Last Night. The Bluff stores are idle as a result of a wages dispute. The men demand an increase of 4d an hou>, and the employers offered 3d.
