HEDGMAN-LACEY. On Wednesday, November 1", a quiet wedding was celebrated in the Methodist Churcl', Hawera, by the Kev. A. Liversedge, the contacting parties being Mr. S. P. Hedgman, of Wanganui, and Miss Alice Eva, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Lacey, of Hawera. The bride was gowned in an ivory sLlk costume, trimmed with pearls and hand embroidery,' and she wore tho customary and orange blosacms. She had as bridesmaid Miss Cartright, of Now Plymouth, who was dressed In a chjlmpagne cress de chine frock, with saie blue and gold tissue hat. Bot'i carried shower bouquets. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. G. Allardyce, of Wanganui After the ceremony a reception was held in the Carlton dining rooms, where tbe usual toasts and congratulations were voiced, after which Mr. and Mrs. Hedgman left for Welspent.—Star. FITZHERBERT—WILSON, A quiet wedding took place at New Plymouth on November 10, the <»atracting parties being S. W. Fitzherbert, solicitor, of New Plymouth, und Aura, only daughter of llrs. H. M. Wilson, Dawson Street, New Plymouth. The bride wore .a smart cream gaberdine costume and hat en suite. The happy couple have left for Auckland en toute to 9ono ulu, their futuro heme.
