BLACKBALL MINERS.
WANT MOKE PAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 22. The original announcement that the Miners' Federation is making a demand for 25 per cent, increase in the rates : of pay to date from March 1 was due to a typing error. It is proposed that the increase should date from November 1. Serious trouble is threatened at the Blackball mine over the alleged victimisation of men who have taken or are taking a prominent part in federation and union affairs. The union is concerned over the refusal of the company to reinstate three men, an 3 trie federation will support, the union. "We will fight the company to death if necessary," stated Mr. Arbuckle to-~day.
