A SCIENTIST'S DISCOVERIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrlsht. London, Nov. 20. The Rev. John ftoscoc, a prominent scientist, has returned from a journey to little known portions of East Africa, made at the instance of the Royal Society and the Government. He travelled thousands of miles in the interior on foot and on a bicycle. He discovered many curious things, including, fifty varieties of herbs, some of which appear to effect marvellous cures, native poisons, implements and instruments ante-dating 2000 B.C. He met tribes living entirely on milk. They owned enormous herds of cattle; others existed wholly on bamboo tips and moles, while anoffier tribe considerc!?,.. it good form to eat their dead relations.
