BAZAAR AT FITZROY.
METHODIST CHURCH FUNCTION. The Methodists of Fiflzroy held a Christmas tree and bazaar yesterday afternoon and evening, the proceeds being in aid of the building fund The various stalls were well stocked with goods, whilst the Christmas tree was heavily laden with a great variety of thing* which will delight the children. The function was opened by Mr. S. (I. Smith, M.P. The stallholders were as follow: Plain goods: Mesdames S. Ruudle, 1". Andrews, Simmons, and Coutts. Fancy goods: Mesdtnnes Aroa and McDougali and Miss E. Fcnwick. ' Sweets: Misses Coutts, V. Fenwick, E. Bray, and E. Andrews. Produce: Mesdames Kibby and H. Hall. Cakes and confectionery: Mesdames Martin, I-lolden, and Prestney. The Christmas tree and bran tub were in charge of Bible class girls, with Mrs. Hall as convenor, whilst .Master Holden and Misses Pepperill and Holden had charge of the ice-cream stall. The afternoon tea and supper were in charge of Mesdames R. Pepperill and Fenwick, assisted by a willing band of helpers. In the evening there was a splendid attendance, and at the conclusion the promoters of the function were able to report a good sale. The cash in hand amounted to £BB 15s 3d, and with further amounts to come it is expected the total will be in the vicinity of £IOO. Following are the details of the amounts taken at each stall: —Plain £34 18s; cake, £ls 13s; fancy, £ll 17s !)d; tea and supper, £5 4s sd; sweets, £5 0s fld; Xmas tree, £7 17a 9d; produce, £4 2s; bran tub, £1 19s Id; ice cream, £2 lis lOd.
