THE PLUNKET SOCIETY.
AN- APPEAL. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you once more grant me the use of your valuable columns to make an appeal to the good people of tins town and the country districts for subscriptions and donations to help carry on the work of the Plunket Society. J think I need hardly dwell in detail upou this work which Dr. Truby King, our own townsman, has .so firmly established throughout the Dominion. The .Society appeals but once a year and asks for a share of the public support as the nurses' services are free to all, both rich and poor alike. Donations will be gratefully received at my office, Devon Street.—i am, etc., Ann Burgess, President.
The Plunket Baby Fete will take place in Kawaroa Park to-day, from 2 to 5 p.m. Should it be wet the decorated procession will be postponed, but ille afternoon tea and sale of work will take place as arranged in the park pavilion. As this is to be an eventful day for the tiny tots all will hope for line weather. Will the mothers kindly remember to bring a cup for the little ones under six years of age?
