ENGLAND v. VICTORIA VISITORS' EASY VICTORY. ] By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrlj Received Not. 10, 9.45 p.m. Melbourne, Nov. 10. The match England v. Victoria was resumed this afternoon. The weather was good, but. the wicket was bad. The attendance was 4000. Mullett and McDonald opened the bow'.lng to Hearne and Hendren, who continued England's first innings. After eleven runs the adjournment was reached. Then Hearne played forward to the third Tjall from McDonald, and spooned It into the hands of Ryder at mid-off. Woolley followed, and both batsmen laid the wood to the loose bowling. The wicket was beginning to look dilapidated, and soma balls kicked high. Ryder relieved Mullett, and Hendren clouted his first ball a full tosser to the fence at leg. Woolley gave Llddicut a chance with a catch at mid-off, but the fieldsman dropped it. At 3.5 p.m., with the score at 418, Douglas closed the innings, which occupied 3G.1 minutes. Mayne and Park went to the crease in Victoria's socond Innings, and the former narrowly escaped being both stumped and bowled off Woolley's first over, which was a maiden. Rhodes bowled at the grandstand end and another maiden resulted. Mayne scored *c Drat run off Woolley. Park was at the wicket eighteen minutes heforo opening his score. He brought a fine stroke off Woolley, and ran up double figures with a slick to leg off the next ball. Twenty appeared in half an hour. Mayne, who had been making uppish strokes, at last put the hall into the hands of Hendren at mid-off, and Park was l.b.w. two balls later, both to Rhodes.

Ryder and Lampard now became associated. Rhodes was bowling a splendid length. After scoring nine Willis poked a delivery from Woolley into tho hands of Fender. Lampard repeated the stroke after another run was scored, and Hendren took the catch—--4—2—34. Rhodes bowled Ryder the next over, and the next ball got another wicket, Moyes being smartly stumped by Dolphin. . TO-MORROW'S PLAY. The next matches in the Thursday competition take place to-morrow. The Urenul Club is to moot New Plymouth. The Nelson Cricket Association has communicated with the North Taranaki Association with a. view to arranging a match during the holidays. It has been decided to reply to the Southern association suggesting that their team piny n.mach at New Plymouth on December 29 and 20.

Other inter-Assoclallon fixtures during the season include the annual North v. South match (at Hawera), and a match against Wanganui at New Plymouth.
