Last July the Government decided to 'Extend the guvwtee of Id per lb on kpplea of approved varieties exported from New Zealand up to 100,000 cases. Ai there seems to be considerable ground for anticipating that if the pnuket conditions in the United Kingdom remain favorable the export of jspples wrfl exceed 100,000 cases, Cabinet has agreed to extend the guarantee to cover 800,000 eases, on condition that the Government reserves its right |o restrict; the guarantee to a lesser Suantity, after giving reasonable otice, if it is satisfied later on that the market conditions at the other end do not warrant exporting as much as ittinoo cases.
