COUNTY ELECTIONS.
HAWERA. The election in the Jlokoia Hiding for three seats on the Hawera Comity Council resulted as follows: , Brian C. Lysaght ~, 128 .lames Dunlop 102 Cecil .1. Hawknn ~ D 8 William Williams <hi Thomas Geary 84 Messrs. Lysaght, Dunlop and Hun-ken were elected. EtTHAM. The only contest In the Bltham County ivas in Ihe Mangatoki Hiding, whore there were live candidates for the three seats. Interest, however, was not very keen and ihe voting was very light. The heaviest poll was. of course, at Mangatoki. As had been anticipated the three sitting mambers, Messrs. Carter, Gilford, and MeUuinness, were re-elected by a good margin. The polling ivas as follows:
