THE MARRIAGE LAW.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Characteristic or the members of the I lie I'.P. A. "Brittauicus Sum," is ashamed of his organisation in that ha attacks our members under a nom de plume. I venture to say that not 10 per cent, of the members of this political association are prepared lo coma Into the limelight. ' One would imagine from tl'e remarks of our friend that botli'Mr. Smith and Mr. Masters had only- spoken half a dozen words on the Marriage Bill debate as you would bo led to believe by the report In the Daily News:' In fairness to our M.P.'a it would hafe been fair play on the part of your correspondent had he obtained the full speeches of Messrs. Smith and Mas-, ters before cond&aininjf them. As one who heard the Marriage Bill debate in tie House I must say that Mr. Masters spoke at softie length, and did not in any way put himself in a hole, but threw out a challenge to Mr. Howard Elliott as he did previously when contesting the last two elections. I challenge "Britannlcus Sum" to let us have his name and address, and confirm tlio statement of his mother or fatl:er being a Roman Catholic. If lie is not prepared to come into tho open I will accept that statement as not being correct. In .conclusion, Mr, Editor, I would advise your correspondent to study the reported speeches In Hansard in future before he rushes heatedly into print. —I am, etc., GEO. HENDERSON. Stratford, Nov. II), 1920.
