RECORD FOR GREASY WOOL. Sydney, Nov. 11. At the wool sales a new record for greasies was established, it realising 43% d. BURNSIDE STOCK SALE. Dunedin, Nov. 10. Fat shep were in short supply at Burnslde to-day, and a sharp advanco in values In most cases took place. Fat cattle were in good supply, with prices a shade easier, and the same applies to spring lambs, the prices for which did not reach the high level obtained lately. ' The prices for pigs also showed\ a weakening tendency. Fat Cattle.—A largo yarding of 21G head of mixed quality. The sale opened at slightly weaker prices than those obtained last week, and values further receded befo're the close of tho sale. Prime bullocks realised from £23 to £2B ss, medium £l9 to £33, light and unfinished sorts from £ls to £lB, prime heifers brought from £lB to £22 2s 6d, medium £ls to £l7 10s, light and aged from £ll 10s upwards. Store Cattle.—A full yarding was' offered, with a fair sprinkling of good sorts. The demand was not keen, and prices showed a reduction of 10s per head. Fat Sheep.—A small yarding of 11G1 head of fair quality. Owing to the short supply prices at tho opening of the sale showed an advance on the average of Ga per head, In a few cases of 10s per head. Towards the finish, however, there was an easing tendency, and prices closed on about a par with last week's rates. On an average prices were about 4s to 5s above last sale's'rates. Prime wethers realised from 54s to 08s, medium 488 to 545, light and unfinished sorts from 48s upwards. Prime ewes realised from 48s 9d to 55s 3d. medium 42s to 475, light and aged from 3Gs upwards. Spring Lambs.—The largest yarding this season, numbering G8 head. The quality was fair, but competition was not so keen as at the previous week's sale. Values ranged from 25s ro 37s Gd per "head. Tigs.—A medium yarding. The demand for baconers Was slarlc, and prices showed a reduction of Id per lb., while porkers suffered to the extent of %d per lb. Best baconers realised from lid to Is per lb., and best porkers from Is Id to 12% d per lb. LONDON MARKETS. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. have received the following cablegram from their London houso under dale Nov. 10th:—Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, £3 14s per cwt.; good beef, £3 lis per cwt.; mixed, £2 15s per cwt. Superfine merino is 10 per cent., and average to Inferior are 15 to 20 per cent. loner. Crossbred Is 20 co 25 per cent, lower, with very poor demand for coarser grades. SALE OF DAIRY CATTLE. An Important sale of flrst-elass dairy cows and heifers was held at Stratford yesterday by Messrs. Newlori King, Ltd., in conjunction With the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., the offering being on behalf of Mr. fl. 11. Phillips. The pedigree Jersey cow Two-Step, calved October 31, 1914, was sold to Mr. .Tames Linn, Normanby, for 63 gns.. and the pedigree Jersey cow Dance, icalved August 10, 1908. with heifer calf at foot, was sold to Mr. C. Arden, Stratford, for 58 gns. Thirty-flve grade Jersey cows, at profit and springing, were sold at prices ranging from £llO to £45, and twenty Jersey heifers at profit and springing, from £lB to £27. Twenty-five crossbred springing cows brought frnm £l4 to £3O. and 80 dairy cows and hell'ers at full profit from £l2 to £2B. There was a large attendance and bidding was keen.
