KILLED WHILE OUT SHOOTING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. An inquest was held at Fairlie into the death of James Calder, a settler of Sherwood Downs, on Thursday. Mrs. Calder stated that her husband went out at 10 a.m. shooting, and as lie did not return to lunch she went to look for him, and found "him half way through a fence dead, with a gun beside him. ])r Matheson, who was sent for, said it was clearly an accident through the gun catching'in the fence. Death was instantaneous. A verdict was returned accordingly.
