DAIRY WORKERS.
HOURS OF WORK TOO LONG. MOVE TO BETTER CONDITIONS. By Telegrßuh.—P-ess Association. Wellington, Last Niglit. Considerable dissatisfaction exists With the recent award obtained by dairy workers in the North Tsland. ' Under the award the hours of work in the industry were reduced from 70 to (15 per week, but these are considered to be altogether too long. A movement is now on foot to establish a Dominion Dairy Workers' federation with a view to seeking to obtain improved conditions for employees A meeting of South Island and North Island representatives will take place in Wellington in the course of a few days for the purpose of promoting the new organisation.
