IMPRESSIONS OF LONDON
BY CHAIRMAN OF PRESS DELEGATION. By Telegrap!!.—Frew Assn.—Copjnrlfhl. Sydney, Nov. 11 r Mr. P. Selig, chairman of the N«w Zealand delegation to the Imperial Press Conference, interviewed by a Herald representative, stated that the next Press Conference would be held four years hence, most likely in Australia. Reviewing the trip, Mr. Selig said he was impressed with the absence of drunkenness in London, lie observing only four men intoxicated during his two months stay. This was due undoubtedly to the curtailed hours of sale of liquor introduced in war time and still in force. He urged more propaganda work to stimulate immigration. Ignorance about New Zealand in particular wan appalling, most people thinking it was part of Australia. When leaving London the trade slump had begun. German mnnutacturera had "dumped" in England, despite the slogan of "trade within the Empire."— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. *
