FURTHER AMENDMENTS MADE. REVENUE FROM NATIONAL ENDOWMENT. (By Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington "Last Night. Some additional amendments to the Land Bill were introduced by GovernorGeneral's message in the House early this morning, and were added to the Bill by the House. Amendments to clause 2 provide that the following lands may be withdrawn from the national endowments and sold to the occupiers:— Any national endowment land disposed of tinder the Land Act, 1008, and held under lease or license by any person wlio is competent to acquire land under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, 191f>; any national land held as a small grazing run tinder a lease issued pursuant to the Land Act, 1802, or issued before the passing of, the Land Laws Amendment. Act, 11118, pursuant to tlio Land Act, 1908. On the issue of a (Proclamation under this section the lessee of a small grazing run may acquire the freehold of the whole or any part of his holding at any time during the currency of his lease.'

The Revenue received from the lease of lands excluded from the national endowment is to be paid into the national endowment account. Revenue, received from the sale of such land is to be paid into the national endowment trust account, and used for the purchase of other land. The National Endowment Trust Account is to be administered by a board consisting of the State Advances Superintendent, the Under-Secretary of Crown Lands, the Valuer-General, and two other public servants appointed by the Government.

The constitution of this trust is in discharge of a promise made bv the Prime Minister when the Bill was before the House that the proceeds of the sale of national endowment land would be invested in other land. •
