PALMERSTON NORTH SESSION. PREVALENCE OF MOTOR FATALITIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Nov. il. The Supreme Court opened to-day before Mr. Justice Chapman. His Honor, addressing the Grand Jury and referring to the charge of alleged manslaughter arising out of a motor fatality, said these cases were becoming very frequent in this district, there being more cases of this sort in this than ill any other district where he had presided over Supreme Court sittings. True Bills were returned in the following cases:—Samuel McConaghty, alleged obscenity; Wm. Henry Gibbons, alleged assault and robbery; Thomas Henry Davidson,.alleged manslaughter; Frederick Spencer Easton, alleged perjury; Thomas Livingstone, alleged assault.
