ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A LONELY DEATH, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Miss Eliza Stoekbridge, 1 aged 6">, who lived by herself at Brooklyn, was found dead in her residence to-day. A medical certificate was given that she suffered from heart disease. DEATH BY STRANGLING. Rotovua, Nov. 9. . Reginald Roy Pyke, aged 01, who had been undergoing treatment at the Sanatorium for neurasthenia, was found dead in the Sanatorium grounds at 5.30 this morning with a cord pulled tight round | his neck and the end in his hands. He was missed "by bis room mates, who searched and found him near the Rachel Spring. His wife died three weeks ago. He was a son of the late Mr. Vincent Pyke, a member of Parliament. CASE OF SUICIDE. Christchurch, Nov. 9. James Scott, a railway worker at Lyttelton, was found dead this morning by his wife with his throat cut. He had been in poor health for some time. He leaves seven children, ranging from 0 years to 18. FOUND DROWNED. Gisborne, Nov. 9. Arthur Barron, 3G, was found drowned in a creek at O'Rorke's station, Tolaga Bay. A MAN SHOOTS HIMSELF. Dunedin, Nov. 9. John Mair, 55, formerly a mercer, shot himself in Pitt Street this morning with a revolver.
