LABOR FOR STATE HOUSES. By Tele£raj>li.--I'ress AssociatiOEWellington, Nov. S. An ollicer was recently made by the ! Building Trades Federation guaranteeing labor for the Government's housing scheme. Sir William Herries has replied thai COO dwellings are to lie erected, beside* those now under construction. The cooperation of the federation is desirable and the department will be pleased to have ihc assistance, either by the employment of workers on wages or by contract. The latter method is considered more satisfactory. The .Minister hopes that the federation's olfer will facilitate the erection of a large number of houses.
