OUR AERO VISITOR.
Once more the old adage "that everything comes to those who know how to wait" has been exemplified. The people of Taranaki have read much about aeroplanes, studied them in illustrations, and witnessed their movements as depicted in the cinema films, but yesterday they had the novel experience--with its spice of excitement —of seeing the reals-article. There is no question that the flight of Messrs. Walsh Bros.' Avro across the province and its landing at Stratford and New Plymouth was a source of much pleasure and gratification to all who witnessed the graceful flight and evolutions of this latest marvel of science. In time aircraft, perhaps, will be a common method of transport, but it is only natural that the first aeroplane to visit this part of the Dominion should be regarded with much interest, for no district can be considered up-to-date that cannot lay claim to entertain human visitors arriving from the clouds. The owners are to be congratulated upon their enterprise in enabling the people of Taranaki to make acquaintance with aircraft.
