A TAIHAPE BLAZE.

MOTOR GARAGE GUTTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Tailiape, Nov. (i. Nicholls' new brick motor garage became enveloped in flames rather suddenly at noon to-day. The fire brigade was quickly on the scene, hut the huge building is still ablaze. Frequent detonations have blown out the windows, and it is evident that there will be a large loss of cars, tools and accessories. Four cars were got out, but the rendered further salvage impossible. The owner states that the loss must be more than double the insurance. Later. The brigade soon had the /ire under control, but not before the building was completely gutted and the whole roof destroyed. There were ten cars not rescued, all having the appearance of being a total loss. The insurance on these is not obtainable. The insurance on the building was £1750, that on the stock £IOOO, and that on a plate-glass window £4O (all with the Commercial Union).
