Mr. Hartshorn, a member of the House of Commons, has definitely resigned membership of the Miners' Federation, as a protest against, inuendoes that he cold tho men. In a letter to the newspapers he declares that a group of "giugcrites" was formed in the South Wales Federation, who are deliberately developing a policy of cutting down the output and organi<£ng strike after strike in order to ruin the industry. They denounce everyone who is not prepared to assist in the promotion of this insane policy,—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
